On November 27-29, the IV Congress of Young Scientists was held at the Sirius University of Science and Technology (Sochi) - the largest platform for advanced and fundamental science, government and the real sector of the economy, which sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development in Russia.
The Сongress was attended by over 7,000 guests from 60 countries, including representatives of 500 universities, of which 100 are foreign. Stavropol State Medical University was represented by A.A. Korobkeev, T.O. Stepanyan and V.M. Avanisyan.
The business program of the Сongress consisted of round tables, expert sessions, panel discussions and events in various interactive formats in five areas. There was also an exhibition of scientific achievements of all subjects of the Russian Federation, including the results of the implementation of regional plans for the initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology.
Representatives of the university attended the session "Science and Soft Skills: how to develop flexible skills for a successful career in science?", which discussed the problems of developing flexible skills among novice researchers and students. Speakers and participants noted the importance of this knowledge and skills for a successful career in science and the possibility of integration into educational programs to train a new generation of scientists.
On the second day of the Сongress, members of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation met with Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation T.V. Semenova and Director of the Department of Science and Innovative Development of Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation I.V. Korobko, which was attended by member of the SMU of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation T.O. Stepanyan. The meeting discussed the problems of training scientific and pedagogical personnel for medical universities, as well as the implementation of the results of intellectual activity and achievements of young scientists in practical healthcare.
On the final day of the Сongress, representatives of StSMU visited the site of the NCFD. At the meeting, young scientists exchanged ideas for joint projects to implement the initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology, and also discussed issues related to improving communication between representatives of scientific associations from all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.
In addition to the business program, the Congress participants were offered a hockey master class and a friendly match between young scientists at the Iceberg Ice Sports Palace, chess tournaments, etc.
